What is built, and what is not
Two columns with two different standards of evidence behind them. Now is an inventory of mechanisms that exist and run today. Next is what has been committed to in writing, undated, and none of it has started.
Where each thing stands
Now
7 itemsCode-scoped memory
ShippedEach memory stays mapped to the files, functions, and lines it concerns, so retrieval is keyed to code rather than to a conversation.
MCP integration for four agents
Shippedmemkith integratewrites native setup for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Zed.Branch and commit on every memory
ShippedEach memory records the branch and commit its code lives on. Today that is an address, not a filter: recall is scoped to the repository, and branch-scoped recall sits under Next.
Repository-permission visibility
ShippedThe team boundary. Memory inherits the access rules the code already has, with no second permission model to keep in sync.
Commit anchoring
Shippedmemkith resolvestamps the commit onto memories learned before their code landed, andinstall-git-hookruns it automatically after each commit.Device-code sign-in
Shippedmemkith login --no-browserprints a URL instead of opening one, for terminals that cannot.GitHub App
ShippedInstallation and repository permissions are handled through a GitHub App rather than through a personal token.
Next
4 itemsBranch-scoped recall
PlannedRecall filtered to the branch you are on, with a memory promoted when its branch merges. The branch is already recorded on every memory; the filtering is not built.
More agents
PlannedThe agent list is expected to grow. Any MCP-capable agent can already be pointed at the server by hand.
Written reference documentation
PlannedThe memory model, the MCP server's tool surface, and team permissions are the three areas with nothing written.
SOC 2 Type II and a HIPAA BAA
PlannedNeither exists. No audit has begun and no business associate agreement is signed today. The mechanisms that do run are listed on pricing.
Suggest a feature
If a mechanism you need is not in Now or Next, write in. Name the thing, not the slogan. Next stays short on purpose; a mailed gap is how a row gets considered, not a public wish list.
